Descriptions des Cours
Pilates Foundation: Class covering all the Pilates principles of centering, concentration, control, breathing, precision and flowing movement. A great way to learn the Pilates key connections and vocabulary, while strengthening the body for the next Pilates levels. Recommended for anyone new to Pilates.
Pilates Beginner: Level 1 of the classical Joseph Pilates repertoire of exercises. Class also incorporates the use of props such as swiss balls and rollers to challenge muscle stability and core strength..
PilatesStick: A special mat based apparatus class allowing you to further challenge the body through the resistance of springs. This class requires that you have a basic knowledge of Pilates as it is considered advanced beginner/intermediate level.
Yoga: A class which carefully observes the principles of Viniyoga which consists of working through postures that respect the limitations/abilities of each individual through the use of appropriate sequencing, the use of breathing techniques, relaxation and meditation.
Yoga for Kids: Ages 3-6 Yoga is not only an excellent way to help your child develop muscle strength and flexibility, but also to start giving them the tools to control their emotions by developing greater concentration, focus and an increased ability to handle stress. This class introduces Yoga in a playful way with language that your child can relate to and have fun with.
Baby & Me Yoga: A yoga class designed specifically for the baby and mom/dad/or other caretaker. This course focuses on helping parents connect physically, mentally and spiritually with their babies. There is a combination of gentle postures, targeted movement and baby massage to safely and effectively develop your baby’s motor skills. This class is ideal for babies from 4 weeks to crawling.
Prenatal Yoga: Prenatal yoga is the perfect opportunity to dedicate some real time for stilling the mind and connecting with your baby. In these sessions the focus will be on breath work, strengthening the back, opening the hips, strengthening the pelvic floor and leg muscles, focusing the mind, and de-stressing.
Post Natal Pilates: Going back to the basic principles of Pilates to help new moms strengthen the “core muscles”: the abdominals, the lower back, the pelvic floor; while helping decompress the upper back/shoulders, neck and opening the chest. Babies are welcome in this class!
